X5 Group is the largest private retailer. The company's strategy moved towards the product delivery business and for this purpose it was necessary to develop an IT platform that could be used by all the company's brands. The platform should have consisted of services for product catalogues, order management, picking, delivery, dispatch and dark store management.

Research
After defining the objectives, we started research. The analysis of the market and competitors helped us to form a list of services and necessary functions to operate and support the order delivery. Following the brainstorming sessions, we split into teams and started developing prototypes. Next we tested, collected user feedback in interviews, travelled as couriers, worked as pickers and constantly improved the products.

Picker application
The Picker app is an everyday working tool for order pickers. They pick up goods in shops and dark stores. The main task of users is to prepare the order for the courier quickly and correctly and take the following order.

General flow
We designed the picker application based on the main user tasks. It was managing the schedule, starting the shift, picking orders, sending replacements, transferring the order to the courier and finishing the shift. Motivating pickers to maximize the quality and speed of order picking using the app was also important.

The Courier app is an everyday working tool for couriers. They deliver goods from all sorts of shops and restaurants to end users. These users use different services for orders and expect universal quality delivery.

The app breaks down a courier's workflow into a few basic steps. Each stage is a clear list of tasks that need to be completed. Lightweight UI with visual focus on critical actions: buttons, map widgets, statuses. The main idea is to motivate couriers to do their best without putting too much pressure on them. It should be easy to understand and navigate, simple, not intrusive, and speak the same language as the couriers.

Manager is a service for managing partners, orders and customers, couriers, pickers, ranges and routes. The administrator can manage orders, report problems, add couriers, pickers, assign shifts and darkstores to them.

Account is a service for managing the delivery of goods to darkstores, accounting for the balance of goods, shelf layout of goods. The manager has full control over the assortment of darkstore, he can order more goods, carry out inventory.

Content is a service for managing product and meal catalogues, stock of goods in shops and checking the correctness of their filling. The administrator can create new items, delete unnecessary ones, adjust catalogue structures.
