Zelt is a cloud application you can use to onboard new joiners in two minutes manage HR, payroll, rent and protect employee computers, and manage apps. The main goal was to redesign the web application based on research and create a new brand identity for public launch.

Research

Despite the small team, we researched to decide what to do next. Firstly, we collected all the available data that the company had: user feedback, problems, wishes and business goals, and analytics data. Secondly, we made a comparative analysis of competitors. Thirdly, formed and described user personas and user jobs. Based on all this data, we started designing a new application version.

Dashboard

In the research process, we realised that our users need different data types depending on their roles and tasks. We decided to allow users to customise their dashboard on the home screen as they see it convenient. We developed a system of widgets for easy scaling in the process of product development.

People

This section provides the entire data structure and navigation of information about employees and contractors. Admins never enter data manually again and receive reminders about important dates and events in the team. Employees keep their profiles updated and are nudged to complete missing information. Request documents on Zelt, and it prompts the employee to upload them.

Onbording

One of the primary services is Onboarding. Administrators can configure all the necessary steps to hire a new employee, invite them, and start them up. Zelt collects new joiners' personal, tax and payroll information, creates an email address, sets up accounts in work apps like Slack and Hubspot and ships out a laptop.

Calendar

We have developed a Calendar that allows the user to request, approve and keep track of time seamlessly. Whether it's holiday, sick days, work from home, parental leave or unpaid holiday. You can get requests directly in Slack or a mobile app. Now, there is no need to wait for the approver to return from their holiday.

Attendance

Administrators can see the complete list of employee shifts in the new attendance section and easily confirm, decline and edit them. Employees can see their schedule and manage it here, too.
